Re: [MCR] 18th June - Herbal Sessions Soundsystem @The Zoo

These ones are called Hogs and were all hand-built on the Herbal Sessions' extremely large kitchen table (...OK, on the floor really).  Having completed the batch, Wee John has now turned his hands to origami.  No kidding.

The rig's got clear tone with a long throw, indoors or out.  Six Hogs on the bottom end and six HD15s on the lower-mids - that's a lot of extremely nourishing bass to grace a place.  Very nace   smile

Re: [MCR] 18th June - Herbal Sessions Soundsystem @The Zoo

Sorry to announce that this show has been canceled.  Seems the venue has been getting noise complaints in general, tho' not specifically about the HerbSesh soundsystem.  It's getting ever more difficult to find places in central Manchester that are not under the heels of the city's Noise Police - and we will not compromise to play on cruddy house systems with insufficient bass, clarity and throw.  This particular case is hard to get the head around, since it's in the heart of the city's university area.

So...HS are looking into doing a free party instead this weekend.  Those speaker cones need all the exercise they can get!
